Ingredients

  • 1 cup pit free dates

  • 1/3 cup tahini paste

  • 1/3 cup cocoa powder

  • 1 tablespoon coconut oil

  • 1 tablespoon maple syrup or honey

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • Sea salt to taste

Directions:

Place a piece of parchment paper onto a cookie sheet. Next split all of the dates in half lengthwise and place opened up like a book onto the cookie sheet.

Then use a teaspoon add the tahini paste to the inside of the dates.

Take a sauce pot and turn your burner to medium. Add the cocoa powder, coconut oil, vanilla extract, maple syrup and a pinch of sea salt into the pan and stir until well dissolved and creamy. Be careful not to burn the chocolate.

Drizzle the chocolate sauce onto each date and sprinkle each with a little sea salt. Place the entire cookie sheet into the fridge until set for about an hour. Enjoy or store in a sealed container in the freezer for a few weeks. But honestly these probably won’t last that long, they are so amazing! Enjoy.
